Description
The Wolf's Lair, located deep in northeastern Poland’s Masurian forest, was Hitler’s main military headquarters during most of WWII. Departing from Warsaw, travel by private vehicle with included admission tickets and a licensed guide.
The 10-hour tour features a 3-hour guided walk through the extensive ruins of over 80 bunkers, some with walls up to 8 meters thick. You will learn about the site’s history, daily operations, and the failed assassination attempt on Hitler on 20 July 1944. After the guided tour, free time is available to explore the forest paths before returning to Warsaw.
The 12-hour option extends the experience with a visit to the Mamerki Bunkers, the former headquarters of the German Land Forces' Supreme Command. This self-guided visit includes entry tickets and allows you to explore the shelters and wartime exhibitions at your own pace. The return route passes the Baroque Sanctuary of Święta Lipka, renowned for its architecture, ornate basilica, and unique moving-figures organ, providing a contrasting cultural experience.
