Chmielna 101 Cooltura
Gdynia
At a glance
Chmielna 101 Cooltura is a nightlife club at Okopowa 7 in Gdańsk, close to the city’s Old Town. The venue combines a dance floor, a bar, lounge seating and several spaces designed for private gatherings. Its character is informal, social and music-led, with a club atmosphere that continues late into the night.
The interior has a deliberately designed, unconventional look, with open areas, sofas, booths and separate rooms on the upper level. Groups can reserve rooms for smaller private occasions, a recessed area, or lounges arranged for different party sizes. The layout also gives guests places to sit between periods of dancing, making the venue suitable for celebrations and organised group evenings as well as regular club nights.
Music is central to the programme. Resident DJs provide a changing selection of club sounds, while the venue also hosts live performances by Polish hip-hop artists. The sound system, dance floor and late-night format make the club a natural choice for guests looking for dancing rather than a quiet bar visit. The atmosphere is relaxed and playful, with an inclusive approach that welcomes different age groups and musical tastes.
The bar offers a broad selection of alcoholic drinks, and the club’s style leans towards expressive, multicultural nightlife rather than a formal restaurant setting. Food is not the main focus, although catering can be arranged when it is requested sufficiently in advance as part of a reservation. Birthday bookings can also be marked with the venue, with a complimentary bottle of lemon vodka associated with that arrangement.
Chmielna 101 Cooltura operates every day, giving it a place in the evening plans of visitors staying in Gdańsk, including those travelling between Gdańsk and Gdynia. It suits groups seeking a club-style celebration, guests interested in live rap and hip-hop events, and anyone looking for a sociable dance venue with more seating and private-space options than a single-room club. Direct reservations are available for lounges and rooms, which can help groups organise the evening before arrival.
